Cleaning

In caring for your furniture your enemy is dirt. Atmospheric conditions, spillage, perspiration, and even skin and scalp oils will add to the breakdown of the best finish.

Simply stated, the best care you can give your furniture is “please keep it clean!” A routine schedule of wiping your furniture with a clean, damp, soft cloth using a mild soap solution will help to stop any build-up of dirt. This procedure should be followed by complete drying with a soft cloth.

Twice a year apply a light coat of paste floor wax that is high in carnauba and low in silicones. Surface blemishes can often be corrected by rubbing in the grain direction with 0000 grade very fine steel wool and then a light application of the paste wax.
